The War on The Internet

So today we were greeted by news which was to be expected really, and to be quite honest I don't even know why I'm bothering to write about it seeing as every blog in the UK is probably already covering this story but for the sake of adding to critical mass, I'll state the issues.

Today the news was reporting on the '1984' style press control:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2295658/Press-regulation-Internet-targeted-MPs-time-chilling-threat-free-speech.html

Apparently the British Government has seen fit to bring in a bunch of new laws which not only strongly restrict the media's ability to report on stories (not that the mass media was ever that great at bringing things to peoples attention in the first place) but also means that there is a serious threat of ordinary internet users being sued for damages for cases of slander and or defamation. Those at risk includes me, for writing this blog and it includes you if you decided to post up unsubstantiated bullshit on Facebook or Twitter - quite literally you can be held accountable for saying anything, really, if someone can falsify evidence to the contrary to what you have said.

That said, this is nothing new. Hundreds of people have already been arrested (and charged) for things said on Facebook, and I'm guessing the toll for people losing their jobs for 'I hate my boss, I think he is a cunt' comments, probably extends to the hundreds of thousands mark. Lets face it, the internet isn't safe anymore, in particular Facebook which was always an intelligence finding database from the get-up.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/18030970

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19882618

You have to ask, is this really an attack on the 'free-press'? Or is it really an attack on the internet's ability to quickly get information across?

Lets be honest, if it wasn't for the internet most of us would still be believing there was actually a point to the wars in the Middle East, that the economy really was failing due to genuine mistakes and that politicians actually have our best interests at heart. The internet has been a brilliant tool for unlocking minds and dispelling the bollocks stories we've been told over the centuries, until now. This could be seriously damaging for everyone who actually cares about learning the truth about things.

Lets take a scenario for arguments sake:

A woman is kidnapped and gang raped repeatedly by a group of highly wealthy politicians and bankers. She gets out, and no one believes her, the police are too scared to chase up the case and so in desperation she posts her ordeal up on the internet, because currently if you have a huge problem which no one seems to be helping you with, you post it on the internet to try and get publicity. If these people were so rich that they could pay off the police and pay for some witnesses to vouch for them being some place else at the time this rape allegedly happened, they could then take that woman to the cleaners and infinancially rape her too, just to really rub the salt in the wounds.

Whilst this may seem a bit of an extreme example, there are tons of cases which have received publicity through the internet, people who have won against corruption and blackmail, this Act would potentially put a stop to that.

Thing is, its not just freedom of speech which is under attack.

The past few years has seen both the European Union and America try and bring in internet laws such as 'SOPA' which far extend past their premise that it is just for preventing online piracy. In any case, despite both SOPA in the states and the European equivalent, the legislation was rejected on privacy grounds. Despite that, starting from next year in 2014, in the UK internet service providers will be required to log and monitor your download habits and give you a 'three strikes' warning, where presumably your internet speeds will be slowed until eventually you receive nasty letters through the post asking you to come to court.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2406323,00.asp

The same is happening in America too, albeit they get six strikes instead of our three.

http://phys.org/news/2013-01-braces-online-piracy.html

Europe and America both have the sinister issue of having to pay £20 (or $30) to appeal against an ISP's decision, because, you know, its not like the UK or America has a Bill of Rights or anything. And it gets worse. You ever posted something like a video of your mate falling over, onto YouTube? You put some music onto that clip? Guess what, if you did, you could be fined under these new proposals.

In any case just be glad you don't live in Germany where the lines between civil and criminal cases are blurred. If you are caught downloading porn illegally over there the porn studio send letters to your home demanding a payment settlement and then post your name publicly for everyone to laugh at (unless they pay £650 straight to the firm straight away without question.) Apparently the potential damage to relationships is neither here nor there to these arseholes.

Trouble is, its set to get worse. Gone are the days where the internet danced to the tune of dial-up tones and the anarchistic web pages ran wild, slowly but surely the internet is becoming standardised and my prediction is that eventually all the websites we take for granted today will be shut down and we will all be given some form of internet passport. The internet will be like a glorified Ceefax, except it draws more information out about you, than you do about it.

For example, there was huge controversy about Google's terms and conditions changing last year. People generally don't care that much anymore now its old news, but in my opinion people should be very scared of an internet organisation which demands you use a 'real name' when filling out your profile. Its not my belief that Google is necessarily some Government sponsored spy (that's Facebook) but I do think that they are deliberately and undeniably creating a file on you to know how best to sell products to you.

Facebook on the other hand is without question being used by police forces to gather intelligence on us, and as technology increases that ability will only grow. They are working on software which can predict where in the world flashpoints and crimes are about to take place and software which evaluates all your likes and dislikes in your Facebook timeline and makes a judgement on you about how likely you are to commit a crime.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/mar/09/facebook-arrested-evgeny-morozov-extract

All we need now is some sort of drug which makes us all docile and apathetic.

Oh hold on!

Welcome to the New World Order!

Idiot Killed By Coca~Cola

Today on the BBC there is a report of how one woman who reportedly drank up to ten litres of coca-cola a day has died of a cardiac arrest.
What a pity.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-21423499

The woman in New Zealand drank so much of this shit that she had had most of her teeth extracted over the years and it had even prevented her unborn children from forming enamel on their teeth too. According to the article ten litres a day is twice the recommended daily caffeine intake and eleven times the recommended daily sugar intake.

I guess in a way we ought to feel sorry for her as this was clearly some form of addiction or obsessive behaviour and friends and family should have taken it upon themselves to get her treated for this. As per usual there are some who are trying to blame Coca~Cola for the death, but I think it goes beyond reasonable risk assessments to assume someone out there would consume that kind of amount.

The media however should currently be doing their utmost to highlight the possible dangers of aspartame which is present in a wide range of products. It is an artificial sweetener used in diet-drinks and in most products labelled as 'no added sugar'. This would include products such as 'Diet Coke', Coke Zero, Pepsi Max, and many other products you possibly wouldn't consider such as Robinson's cordial juice which of course is generally the drink of choice by millions of children in the UK.

http://www.myfoxchicago.com/story/20939173/diet-soda-dangers-new-study-may-link-aspartame-to-cancer

http://www.naturalnews.com/011804_aspartame_NutraSweet.html

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8939194 (An old scientific report calling for review in '96.)

Despite these concerns, the European Food Safety Authority and the Food and Drugs Administration in the USA have both approved this substance fit for human consumption once again. The EU came to an agreement on this just last year in fact:

"On 8 January 2013, EFSA launched a public consultation on its draft scientific opinion on the safety of the artificial sweetener aspartame. To carry out this full risk assessment, EFSA has undertaken an in-depth review of peer-reviewed scientific and other literature on aspartame and its breakdown products, including new human studies. All stakeholders and interested parties are invited to comment on the draft opinion through the online public consultation by 15 February 2013. As part of this important process and the Authority’s commitment to actively engaging with stakeholders, EFSA will also hold a meeting with interested parties to discuss its draft opinion and the feedback received from the online public consultation. EFSA prepared a set of Frequently Asked Questions to help explain some of the key scientific concepts and initial conclusions of the draft opinion."

Well as great as this sounds there is still some cause for concern with regards to this little compound. The biggest concern being the links to Monsanto.
As Monsanto deserves an article in its own right, check the wiki page for a general idea:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsanto (Pay particular attention to the 'political contributions and lobbying' section.)
Monsanto sold the Aspartame rights to Merisant in 2000, who have now sold to a group which now includes PepsiCo. But Merisant was brought by shareholders who already had stakes in Monsanto before, so it can hardly be said that the financial interests behind Monsanto are not still with the new owners.
Long story short, Monsanto and other GM and artificial food producers are getting into bed with politicians and getting campainers to support untested food to the public through Governments. Bribery and officials 'looking the other way' are rife.

Here is just one such example which was reported.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4153635.stm

The other concern to do with soft-drinks are energy drinks of which Monster Energy has recently come under scrutiny with after some deaths had some links with the consumption with their drinks.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/9627491/Monster-energy-drink-investigated.html

The owner of the company  Rodney Sacks claimed the people who were trying to claim for damages were 'scientifically ignorant' for suggesting these deaths had anything to do with his beverages. Well no mate, this is why departments are currently reviewing your product to see if scientifically these claims have any basis.

In any case would you trust ingredients like these: l-carnitine, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, niacinamide, glucuronolactone, inositol, , pyridoxine, hydrochloride, sucralose, riboflavin, maltodextrin, cyanocobalamin

If it needed a laboratory to create its probably not the best thing to be knocking back with your Jäger.

Welcome To The Machine: Neo-Feudalism Is Here

It seems the UK has been utterly and undeniably flanked on all sides by globalist interests, wealthy banking families and corrupt politicians. We are well and truly hemmed in, and if I'm allowed to be completely pessimistic, it seems like there is going to be no escape from the increasing rot that has gripped an entire global civilisation.

Now, you may be thinking I'm a paranoid, thinking negatively and spouting a load of old shit, but look at the continuing trends.

Increasing food prices, reduction of state pensions (whilst increasing how long we work for.) Reduction in wages, (when you take into account value loss in the currency) attack on liberties, attack on judicial process, attack on the right to protest, constant attacks against firearm and weapon ownership. The list goes on and on.

The average citizen doesn't seem much brighter than these.
Put simply, I would say that the UK and all of the other western nations are at the end of their lifespan as a free society and Governments, top banking families and international groups are going in for the kill right now.
Put simply, we are approaching Neo-feudalism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-feudalism

That is essentially a bit like fascism, only when you are poor, you are really, really poor.

Examples? There are plenty. Sit back, read and take notice.

Health & Food Fascism

The general problem is that the Government is attempting to reduce the costs of health care with such aggressive and bizzare ideas, that they are likely to cause more problems than they solve. With all the talk of benefit reductions for obese claimants and tax rises and even legislation to get rid of unhealthy food completely, it kind of makes a mockery of us to say that we are still a free society when you cannot even decide what food you eat.

As I have written before: (http://eibsnews.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/health-facism-nanny-knows-best.html)

Of course, food prices are set to go up even further than they already have soon as the Government also wants to do something about food wastage.

(Read here: http://eibsnews.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/half-worlds-food-wasted.html)

Of course doing anything to legislate either consumers, transporters or food retail outlets to reduce food wastage will invariably lead to higher costs adding even further burden to families in a recession. Whilst I do think something ought to be done with regards to food wastage, perhaps during the middle of a recession isn't the best time to be mucking around with something as important as food.

Ironically, with all the food price increases lately one of the hereditary piers, one Countess Lady Mar made a complete cock up last week when she called for food prices to be increased in order to solve food wastage. What planet do these cretins come from?

http://money.aol.co.uk/2013/01/18/house-of-lords-food-is-too-cheap/

Of course there is the usual calls for us to eat locusts or meat grown in vats. Yummy!

Pensioner Abuse

Think you can retire in the near future like our elders did once upon a time? Unless you accumulate a considerable amount of wealth, I wouldn't count on it.

Many people who are just about approaching retirement age now will know full well the level of fuckery the system is able to unleash upon you at a moments notice. Of course I'm referring to that little fact of thievery the previous Government did by raiding the pension pot to bail out bankers and cats so fat they posess their own gravitational influence.

In a previous article, (http://eibsnews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/work-pensioners-how-bout-no.html) I mentioned how some were even calling for pensioners to work on a voluntary basis for their state pension. Fuck off!

In any case, the whole pension scandal is getting worse and worse, with some now calling for retirement ages to be raised to 70. Of course by the time I'm old enough to retire, being in my mid-twenties, I doubt there will even be a recognisable retirement system. They'll more than likely turn my aging bones in 'Soylent Green' to combat the food crisis. I jest of course, but months back this article came up:
http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/06/17/japanese-scientists-create-meat-from-poop/

Anyway, moving on.

Even the MOD which has been suffering cut-backs whilst being asked to undertake all manor of illegal resource stealing and corporate murdering have also had their pensions cut back with an increase of servicemen's national insurance contributions. Funtastic.

Possibly the most concerning problem we face is that all folks now have to own a private pension. Now I'm not necessarily against private pensions if you can afford them, but contributing a minimal amount when you are on minimum wage is just taking the piss. By the time you have saved up anything worth having you may as well have not bothered because you can bet your bottom dollar that that money you saved will go against you having any help from the state when you do finally retire.
Essentially you are being fucked over twice by putting that nominal amount aside, and even then, it still gets taxed and the usual cunt suspects get to make interest off of your labour.

Wage Reductions

McDonalds is now in the top ten
companies to work for in the UK.
Desperate times!

If you are lucky enough to have a half decent job the chances are quite high that lately you have received a pay-cut. Of course if you are on minimum wage, chances are you would have realised the occasional national minimum wage increase, which of course is well below rising inflation rates. General theme: wage cuts making us poorer, inflation rates making us poorer, wage cuts makes employee's poorer whilst that influences other firms to pay a less fair wage leading ultimately to a worker class which is happy just to have found work, no matter how degrading the place is to their staff or how chronically awful their wage packets are at the end of the month.

Of course, in the UK and indeed for most of the Western Civilisation, the soft approach towards immigration control has been supported by both the hardline socialists, and centre-right conservatives and has had a knock on effect with regards to the jobs and labour markets.

Ultra-left are of course useful idiots used through proxy organisations to fuel a wider push towards globalisation which the capitalist center-right folk then use to make huge amounts of money. Easy peasy.
The whole idea that immigration was 'good for our economy' was of course complete bullshit. Its implementation had a few reasons, but one of the main reasons was to control the job markets and reduce overall labour costs. Flooding a country with thousands of workers who will do a days wage the rest of us wouldn't entertain forced us into the situation where today people will fight for a McMoron job flipping burgers.

Of course the other reason was to inundate the population with foreign cultures as to water down our cultural traditions leading us more naturally towards both the EU and world Government.

Don't believe me? Read for yourself.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18519395

Legal Rights

Obviously, if you know anything about the EU, you will know what its European system of law is currently doing to our British Common Law based legal system. Well, it fucked it, essentially.

Our legal system in the UK was the jewel of our society, our Bill of Rights influenced the American Constitution and was the major base for all other anglo free societies. It was the basic promise that a subject would not be subjected to threats of intimidation or charged without fair trial. England even banned the use of torture in 1640 because it was common sense that a man with immense pain placed upon him would ultimately end up confessing to anything just to get the torturer to stop.

Then again, with America the so called 'home of the free' using Guantanamo Bay, and the former Libyan regime so willing to offer their services as interrogators, Britain doesn't really have a need to have its own in-house torturers.

Of course with the European system marching in over the years we now have fixed penalty notes, on-the-spot trials, trials without jury, and daily threats coming from all forms of authority both in person and in state propaganda. In fact, just today it was suggested that criminals should not be provided QC (or as it boils down to it, experienced) solicitors.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/9815013/Criminals-should-not-be-allowed-to-hire-expensive-lawyers-with-legal-aid-Chris-Grayling-says.html

Of course the outrage here is that there is apparently no presumption of innocence anymore with any criminal case.
Still this story seems to remind me of a certain line out of the film 'Lethal Weapon':

Then there is the problem with the internet being the first place the police trawl through to claim victims...I mean convictions. The latest one was a bloke who posted up videos of beheadings on Facebook:
http://www.ndtv.com/article/world/briton-jailed-over-beheading-videos-posted-on-facebook-319755

Do I agree with posting up sick videos? No. Do I think someone should have to do five years because it may offend someone? Erm, no definitely not. It takes all sorts in life, and just because someone seems to have unhealthy obsession with gore I should hope a judge would not have gone postal like this and ruined someones life for it. Oh, the charge was 'Encouraging Terrorism', apparently.

Of course with other things such as protests all but banned it seems that our fundamental right to fair trial and freedom of expression is pretty much dead. Think this moot point as everyone acknowledges this fact at least.

Attacking The Vulnerable

One of the things said to give an accurate highlight of a societies morality is to look at how well a societies most vulnerable are looked after.

Shockingly, the Conservative cut backs against incapacity benefits is leaving many people in extreme poverty and in many cases terribly humiliated. I'm not usually one to mention human rights because I feel they very often get used to justify our own enslavement, but in the case of these sickening stories I believe something ought to be done right now to sort out these injustices.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/fear-of-fitness-to-work-tests-driving-disabled-patients-to-suicide-say-6-of-gps-8197432.html

One of the many stories tells of how a woman was told she could return to work despite having incontinence. Now I'm not a legal expert but I'm pretty sure that this one does breach human rights laws on the grounds of public humiliation. You could hardly expect someone to work in an office whilst fouling themselves in front of colleagues. It would destroy even the strongest of souls.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/atos-told-incontinent-woman-to-wear-nappy-firm-condemned-by-mps-for-pressuring-sick-and-disabled-into-returning-to-work-8456447.html

With the Government paying private companies on the basis that the company is given an objective to cut back on disability claimants, people are unfairly being told that they are to return to work when quite clearly they are not. The people who do the assessments are not even medically trained and the stress and hardship this is putting individuals under has led to inexcusable deaths of late. Some through people returning to work when they shouldn't, and some even through suicide as they feel their situation is so hopeless.

Of course disabled people aren't the only ones resorting to taking their own lives, a surge in depression and a spike in suicide rates has been plaguing not only the UK but the US and other Western countries too, with it mostly being young adults doing this.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/aug/14/rise-suicides-blamed-impact-recession

http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2812%2961910-2/fulltext

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/suicide-rates-rocket-in-wake-of-economic-downturn-recession-8049446.html

In a society where young people are not able to afford their own homes, and are unable to find meaningful employment which will support them in independence - and where there is no support to turn to with a complete break up of cultural values and societal cohesion, it is no wonder suicide rates are rising. Times are tough, but when there is nowhere to turn to to find a comforting shoulder to cry on, and with debts rising with no long term prospects, its no surprise.

Education

Of course the fact that education for a long time has simply been a basic requirement to get a populace to be just intelligent and informed enough to work and pay taxes is no secret. However recent suggestions are somewhat taking the piss.

There are considerations to let schools make a profit for shareholders.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/poll/2012/oct/17/schools-run-for-profit

Which is no surprise considering that school now has to run mandatory up to the age of 18 and that some of these schools are not places of learning at all and are operating as sweat shops.
http://www.studioschoolstrust.org/

Apprenticeships could be great for a kid to get into, but of course, they could also be uninspiring, underpaid and deadend nightmares. Lady luck therefore will dictate which kids get the most out of this set up, and which ones grow up to be resentful and left under equipped for later life. They already tried this back in the 70's, and it mostly failed the first time, though there were isolated success stories.

Right To Defend Oneself

Of course in the UK it is already practically illegal to defend yourself, loved ones and your property, and even more 'wrong' to use a firearm to do for those ends. It is of course interesting to note that in anglo-saxon times, any of the free folk were allowed to carry with them a scramaseax (short-sword to you and I) at all times. It was only the people considered slaves who could not own a weapon and the punishment for a non-freeman owning or possessing a weapon was usually a public beating.

Of course these days we are slightly more 'cultured' then them days, so we no longer have to endure the public beating, but we do still suffer the abuse of a society who places the rights of criminals above the right of citizens to defend themselves and their homes.

Even our ex-MOD personnel are arrested for owning a handgun, and in the case of the article below ex-SAS members no less:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/two-sas-men-arrested-after-83525

I tend to hold the view that the Government does actually see us all as slaves these days, and therefore being common peasants we are not given the rights to defend ourselves and property because, well because quite frankly in a broad scheme of things we don't own anything, meerly borrow it from the Government for a while. (Look up who actually owns your car and who gets an estate if noone leaves a will after death, etc.)

I'm not going to argue gun crime statistics and whether they should or should not be in the hands of civilians, that is far from the remit of this article - but ask yourself, in a free society would you have to justify why you needed a pen knife in your pocket if you were stopped and searched by your local bobby?

Now with the ongoing push to disarm America too, things look pretty bleak. Of course America is a different ball game altogether, but you have to ask whether this sudden change in their political view is less down to protecting children and more down to the UN's international disarmament policy.

http://www.un.org/disarmament/

 Overview

Of course, I haven't covered anywhere close to the amount of examples available to show of how the standard of living in the West is dropping substantially, but given that this article is scratching just the surface I think we ought to seriously look at what we as a collective are doing to stop things getting any worse. Any of you out there who are under the illusion that shit hasn't already hit the fan need to wake up. We are up to our knees in the muck already, we just need to make sure they don't rub our faces in it for good measure.

Better get used to is I guess...

Global Warming Made The Dinosaurs!

This is an old story from way back in 2010 but I found the link through a new story on the BBC news site.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8580444.stm

In this article scientists reported that there may be a link between apparent sudden global temperature rises caused by volcanic activity and the dinosaurs rise to become the most successful group of land animals the Earth has ever seen. Apparently this was caused by 'global warming', which killed off the large primitive reptiles which dominated before hand allowing the dinosaurs a window of opportunity.

So the BBC, usually the flag carrier of state propaganda posts information which flies in the face of global warming fears. Surely if cosmological or geological influences can adjust temperatures and carbon dioxide levels in the age of the dinosaurs, it can still happen today? Right?

Temperature variations happen, continue to happen, and until this planet is either vaporized or turned into a ball of ice and thrown off into outer-space, will always happen.

There is this strange idea that has somehow got into the minds of everyone in society, including scientists on the payroll of Government agencies, that the planet must stay the same. Historical evidence flies in the face of such ridiculous assertions.

Look back at periods of British weather. The Neolithic period was warm and wet, one of the main reasons that farming techniques were able to be brought into Northern Europe.
Then there was the 'Warm Medieval Period'. This period was warm enough in England to grow vineyards for the Roman occupation. In fact it was this warm period which enabled large viking settlements on Greenland and the finding of Vinland (or Canada as we now call it) by so called uncivilized Danish brutes. Of course this doesn't mean that the weather stayed nice enough for them to stay there.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/11/101123-native-american-indian-vikings-iceland-genetic-dna-science-europe/

http://archive.archaeology.org/online/features/greenland/

Vikings travelled to America and Greenland in Longboats.
Ironically today we have the worlds media doing the rounds about 'extreme cold weather fronts' whatever that means. Of course the idea is to try and trick those of us with short memories into believing we are all going to die relatively soon of some kind of climatic disaster. In some roundabout way, 'climate change' can either be attributed to any kind of weather, be it hot or cold. This latest cold snap in the UK however is nothing compared to the arctic winter felt almost two hundred years ago in 1814 when the Thames froze over and there were entire carnivals pretty much held on the ice.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Thames_frost_fairs

Of course there may be a negative side to all this. I mean, if global warming really did create dinosaurs (like global warming to reptiles is like that radioactive spider to Peter Parker) we could theoretically be creating Godzilla right now.

UN Internet Treaty

It seems the UN is getting busier and busier these days, if they aren't trying to scaremonger the public into paying worldwide taxes directly to themselves or supporting the formation of world financial institution they are trying to tinker with democracy, liberty and national sovereignty.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20575844

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20594779

It seems the internet is getting a tough-ride lately what with SOPA and other similar proposals which would make it illegal to post links to anything, anywhere on the internet and the rather unnerving sway towards the dystopian nightmare where all of our opinions and messages are stored to be viewed by any political agency and misconstrued or taken out of context in order to secure tedious convictions.

Then of course despite the Copyright Acts not going through, ISP's are to begin storing peoples access to copyrighted material and making threats against anyone who does.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2165004/Illegal-downloading-Families-illegally-download-music-movies-online-face-court-action-copyright-theft.html

Apparently under the new guidelines the entertainment companies will be able to accuse anyone of copyright infringement without any evidence at all - and individuals will be required to pay to prove that they are innocent. This shit goes against everything anyone has ever stood for in a free and democratic society. Just another example of our age-old common law that is being trod on more and more each year all in the interests of mass-corporation and corrupt Government.

Returning to the original point with the UN for a moment however, it is clear that the UN has some vested interest in using the internet as a platform to springboard their own schemes. The ITU (the telecommunications agency which works on behalf of the UN) said the following...

"The brutal truth is that the internet remains largely [the] rich world's privilege, " said Dr Hamadoun Toure, secretary-general of the UN's International Telecommunications Union, ahead of the meeting.

"ITU wants to change that."

Ok. So why is the UN worrying about supplying the internet to people who still despite billions of spending still do not have access to clean drinking water and food? What good is a PC if you have no electricity outlet? Something doesn't make sense. Thus, read behind the lines, this has apsolutely nothing to do with helping the worlds poorest (yet again , UN) but about controlling the information that they have access to.

Be aware. Read up on all you can now while you still can. Support the free internet, without it we are dangerously close to a irreversible world dictatorship (and this is not some conspiracy theory - the facts are there for you all to see if you choose to read up and take notice of the signs.)

British Foreign Influence: Learning From Cyprus

I wasn't sure if there were a need of me to write this article as the facts are all pretty easy to come by all across the internet, and judging by comments seen by Greeks across the net, it seems that the Cypriots are mostly all aware of the following information. This information however is not generally known by British people including myself until a few weeks ago, and this information really allows one to look at your own Governments corruption and underhanded tactics.

Its funny, I like most of the people in the UK grew up believing that our Government always did the right thing, we were like some heroes of the international community. Watching too much James Bond I guess will do that to you, but when you are taught the polarised view by through the recent memories of WWII and the Falklands, you are miss-sold the line that the British use due force to protect its sovereignty and of its allies. As a child you should be forgiven for believing such rubbish, but as adults it should be our responsibility to constantly strive for the truth in all things, especially those which are paid for with our taxes.

This is an article about how Britain and America fucked over a sovereign nation for their own agenda's during the 1960's and 1970's.

So what happened in Cyprus? A long story short, after an agreement with the Ottoman Empire, Britain received colonial power over the territory of Cyprus after a war between the Ottomans and Russia .Cyprus had however always been a Greek island despite Ottoman occupations during 1571-1660 and 1745-1748. (Britain had offered Cyprus back to Greece back during WWII as a bargaining chip for their entrance into the war under the allies, an offer rejected by Athens at the time.)

When Britain gave independence to the Cypriot Government in 1960, there were concerns that with the strongly Orthodox-Christian Greek-Cypriots (and historical resentment towards the Ottomans/Turks) that the minority Turks were going to be treated badly. There had already been Turk resistance groups formed during Cyprus' time as a British colony before independence. The Turkish_Resistance_Organisation's intention from the very beginning had been to create a partition across Cyprus to give Turk-Cypriots their own land and at the same time the EOKA, a Greek Nationalist group which wanted to see Cyprus returned to Greece as a Greek province. Both groups fermented violence towards the other.

To try and counter the ethnic in-fighting, the British Government gave the minority Turkish population a permanent 30% veto power over the Cyprus Government and its own police force. This further exacerbated resentment for the Greek-Cypriots. To make matters worse, with addition of Turkey and Greece funding their own ethnic groups on Cyprus, the British Government continued to support the minority Turk population by supplying weapons and explosives to resistance groups whilst the American CIA supported the Greek nationalist groups of which eventually led to the ousting of the first president Makarios III. This is despite Makarios calling for amendments to the Cyprus constitution to try and stop the fighting whilst trying to open diplomatic talks with both Greece and Turkey through the Non-Aligned_Movement. This was in 1964, but the proposed amendments to the constitution caused an uproar with the Turk council members who left in protest.

Of course, none of the support for both hard-line groups both on the Greek and Turk side were being drummed up because of President Makarios' dim view on British and American international politics. Because of his isolationist views it led him to be known as 'the Castro of the Med' with both Washington and London suspecting he had 'tenancies towards communism'. Or that he had been speaking with the Soviet Union and other 'rogue' states? No, these facts had nothing to do with it, right?

In any case, Turkey had from the very beginning, even before the end of British occupation, called for partition on the Island, a request which understandably was seen as being unacceptable for the Greek-Cypriots when you consider the demographics before the 1974 invasion.

(The blue represents Greek-Cypriot population, the red/orange Turk-Cypriot.)

So the invasion of 1974 is where things get interesting. The British were still meant to be Cyprus' guarantor for independence and security, so the next findings were pretty startling, but considering recent events in the middle-east, not surprising. The whole reason why I began asking questions about Cyprus was because of a holiday I had there in July of this year, I got talking to a local who mentioned that the UK and US turned a blind eye to the Turkish invasion in exchange for Turkey allowing US military bases on its land. This was apparently due to the Cyprus Government refusing to allow US military bases on the island.

I've not been able to find evidence of this fact on the internet, but I have read and heard it from more than one person. Whether this is just a Cypriot urban legend or not is hardly important however as there is still evidence that both London and Washington willingly turned a blind-eye towards the Turkish invasion, and who were in actual fact always in cahoots with the Turkish side to introduce a divide across the island.

What is most repugnant about the whole ordeal is that America and Britain could have brought about a diplomatic end to the situation had they not continued to fund and support both the Greeks and the Turks simultaneously. It was president Makarios, who sought true independence and diplomatic resolve who was the one real chance for a peaceful unified republic on the island. This is just another example of divide and rule tactics and Governments using differing factions to suit their own agenda. The results of the 1974 invasion of Cyprus was the killing of thousands which could have been avoided and the displacement of Greek civilians who were evicted by Turkey and forced to the South side of the island. Their homes, businesses and possessions were then forfeit, a situation which meant some Turks got very rich off the backs of Greek-Cypriot loss:(http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17560821 .) Turkey then used aggressive re-population tactics to change the demographics of Cyprus by moving thousands of Turks to the captured Northern Cyprus, a move now which would be seen as cultural genocide.

The following PDF article includes documents sent from the British Government to the Australians and detailed information about how and what was going to happen before the Turkish invasion.

If you haven't the time to read through this long and detailed article, then please take notice of this particular paragraph sent in telegram to Australia from Britain:

"Commenting privately to us on the situation on the 20th July a senior FCO official said that Britain secretly would not object if Turkish military forces occupied about 1/3 of the island before agreeing to a cease-fire. (Please protect.) Such a position would need to be reached by 21st July if peace prospects were not to be endangered further. In the meantime, Britain continued to support publicly appeals for an immediate ceasefire".

If this article is correct, and this telegram has been leaked, it explains why despite having naval bases on Cyprus Britain’s non-involvement in the protection of Cyprus throughout the invasion. As a side note, there is also evidence that Britain was supplying information to Turkey about the military strength of Cyprus to help with the invasion. The fact that one third of the island was taken seems to have been agreed in advance, and falls in line with Britain’s previous political handling of 30% veto power to the Turks.

In any case, all of this information points to one thing. The US and UK are constantly manipulating current political turmoil to suit their own needs and agendas. As we look upon this information in the new millennium with all current ongoing issues in the middle east, we need to be aware of the facts of the past. The same has been applied in Iraq, Libya and ongoing in Syria. We must learn to wield this knowledge to our own advantage, we must put pressure on our politicians to prevent unnecessary suffering and war caused by the deliberate actions of our Governments on the smaller sovereign nations. History has been repeating itself more and more recently, but this fact only relies on an unaware public who believe in those history books.

Charity Derp

Whilst at lunch today sitting in the canteen I couldnt help but laugh at the ridiculous front page article on The Daily Mail.

'The Fat Cats Of Foreign Aid', it reads.

In a nut shell, it goes on to explain how the top bosses of some of the biggest foreign aid charities are raking in more than £100,000 a year, and how through various bonus schemes they've made themselves millionaires. Now I’m not going to condone this sort of behaviour, in fact like 99% of the rest of the population who actually need to work full time for a pittance, I find this breach of trust abhorrent. However I do find the reporting of this story for one decades too late, and secondly it is completely offensive to any readers out there to suspect that they were so naive in the first place.

The details of this story the same old format. An audit of these big organisations were found to be a get-rich-quick scheme for some millionaires and our wonderful superheroes who are the British Members of Parliament are going to look into how to best stop this terrible abuse of trust.

Obviously, we'll overlook the millions taken by MPs over the years to tend to landscaping, moat clearance and mortgages on houses which do not exist, or the fact that many of these same Politicians got off without any form of official punishment besides losing their position (of whom some have now wormed their way back into positions of power through being lovers of David Cameron.)

This "news" just isn't. I mean, its common knowledge that Bono only donates 1% of earnings from charity gigs to the charity.

Oh yeah, but he's in that (terrible) rock band U2, so he's allowed to cheat people out of millions.

Feed. The. World. Bono, you cunt.

Thing is, the reality is even more easy to understand than that. A friend of mine worked as one of those annoying charity collectors for a few weeks told me how he quit once he found out that only a small percentage was actually going to the charities themselves, most was taken by the company which does the annoying sales pitch and secures your regular donations by taking your card details. (You have been warned.)

In any case, I seem to remember a certain Southpark episode starring Starving Marvin which told us all the facts about how charity worked about a decade ago, but meh.

Whilst we are on the subject of charity, it is a strange coincidence that also in the Daily Mail, (I don't actually buy this paper, it just so happens that both links so far are from them) there are two other stories on the same page as this latest 'charity scandal' story. One is the fear that BAE's merger with EADS may cause problems with the on-going Trident project, and second is the weird story about how millions are being spent on creating an Indian foreign aid headquarters when the aid is scheduled to stop in 2015.

I say coincidence because they are more or less indirectly connected. Despite India straight up telling the UK that our aid money is no longer needed (or indeed appreciated) we seem to still be pouring a ton of money into their economy under the guise of international aid. In reality its more to keep funding British companies which have exported their manufacturing to India, and also to hopefully butter up their politicians to continue using BAE for their defence contracts.

Despite it not appearing as obvious, UK does actually have a lucrative business in advanced technologies, i.e. Satellite component research, etc. Unfortunately the UK funds these organisations but then allows these companies to ship manufacturing to India where wages are lower and where there is already infrastructure to launch spacecraft.

As for India using BAE, it was hoped that India would purchase the Eurofighters as they had already with the Panavia Tornado and SEPECAT Jaguar for decades. This however looks unlikely to go ahead since the Indians have already been working with Russia on the PAK-FA, a stealth-fighter which would likely eat the Eurofighter, F22 and the three F35 variants for breakfast.

It seems the UK thinks it a good use of public money to continue to fund UK corporations manufacturing off-shore, maybe it is in a roundabout way, but surely to dupe the population into thinking this is some form of humanitarian stunt is nothing short of disgusting.

Of course, not all of this money goes to military and communications companies. Some actually does go to the Indian people, except they probably don't want it. Whether you agree that over-population is a real issue or not, forced sterilisation in any sense is wantonly abhorrent behaviour. Whilst many of us in the UK may be shocked or even appalled at the suggestion that a Government of the 'free' world could do such a thing, we would be deceiving ourselves as this sort of thing has happened all over the world, a lot.

In any case, you've been warned about charities now. Be extremely selective of who you give your money to in future!
